This 75 m² duplex apartment
(approx. 805 sq ft) was fully renovated in 2021 and comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. It comes with a private terrace and small garden, enjoys a South‑East exposure, and is located in a quiet building of just four apartments over two levels.

You can do everything on foot.
Local shops are about a 10‑minute walk away, Royan’s excellent central market (famous for fresh fish and seafood) is 18 minutes away, and the harbour and town centre can be reached in around 15 minutes.

On the ground floor,
you’ll find a bright open-plan living area opening directly onto the garden. The fully equipped kitchen features a central island, with a dining area and a comfortable lounge space. There is a flat-screen TV and free high-speed Wi‑Fi (fibre). A separate utility room houses the washing machine and water heater, and there is also a separate toilet.

Upstairs,
the apartment offers a shower room with walk-in shower, washbasin, toilet, hairdryer and heated towel rail. The three bedrooms all open onto a balcony and include wardrobes and hanging space. Two bedrooms have double beds (140 cm / approx. 4 ft 7 in), while the third has two single beds (80 cm each) that can be joined together to form a double.

The kitchen is fully equipped
With induction hob, conventional oven, microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, a large-capacity filter coffee machine and a Senseo pod coffee maker.

Outside
The terrace and garden are furnished with a dining table and outdoor seating, perfect for meals or relaxing outdoors.
Cleaning essentials are provided, along with a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron. Board games and books are also available for guests.

Bed linen and towels are supplied, with duvets adapted to the season.

The cleaning fee is included.

Heating is provided by new electric fluid‑inertia radiators.

For hygiene and peace of mind, disposable mattress and pillow protectors are used, and the apartment is thoroughly disinfected between stays.

The apartment is non‑smoking. Pets are not allowed, and parties or festive events are not permitted.
Free street parking is available nearby.

At the end of the street, the beautiful Chay Beach awaits you, with its seaside promenade running along the cliffs all the way to Pontaillac, passing by Pigeonnier Beach. It’s a wonderful walk by the ocean, ideal at any time of day.
Above the beach, set into the cliff, you’ll find the “Le Chay” restaurant, offering meals with a sea view. Nearby, you can relax at the thalassotherapy centre or enjoy the many tennis courts at the Garden Tennis Club, which overlooks the ocean.
A coastal cycle path follows the shoreline, linking Saint-Georges-de-Didonne to La Tremblade, perfect for long bike rides with sea views. Royan’s port and seafront are lively and full of bars and restaurants, as is Pontaillac, where you’ll also find a casino and a wide range of local shops: bakeries, butcher and delicatessen, pharmacy, newsagent with postal services, ice-cream parlours, hairdresser, cash machine, surf shop, surf school and independent boutiques.
In Royan, you can easily rent bicycles, jet skis or boats, making it easy to enjoy the area from land or sea.
There is no shortage of places to visit and activities to enjoy nearby. Highlights include the Cordouan Lighthouse, the La Palmyre Zoo, trips to Fort Boyard, and boat excursions to the islands of Aix, Ré and Oléron. Explore the Marennes peninsula and its oyster farms, or visit Talmont-sur-Gironde and Mornac, both listed among the most beautiful villages in France. The La Rochelle Aquarium is also within reach, and a ferry crossing takes you to the Médoc, the gateway to its famous wine route.

All our rates include the end‑of‑stay cleaning, bed linen and towels, with beds made on arrival.
The local tourist tax is not included and is payable on arrival. It ranges from €1.10 to €3.40 per adult, per day, depending on the period. Children are exempt.
For the rental contract, we kindly ask you to provide a holiday civil liability insurance certificate, which can be issued by your home insurer.
A deposit of 30% of the total rental price is required at the time of booking and is paid by bank transfer.
A security deposit of €1,000, by cheque, will be requested on arrival. It is not cashed and will be returned within 8 days after departure, provided no damage is found.
The remaining 70% balance is to be paid by bank transfer on the day of arrival, together with the tourist tax.
In the event of a government‑mandated COVID lockdown, all amounts paid will be fully refunded.
