The owner is a wine consultant and journalist, and he could organize for you visits to the renowned Bordeaux Châteaux in Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac, Saint-Julien, Margaux, Pessac-Léognan, Pomerol and Saint-Emilion the prettiest town in France.

L'Amélie is 95 km from Bordeaux and 4 kilometers from Soulac-sur-Mer where there are shops, a daily market including a fish market, restaurants, post office, banks and a Carrefour and a Lidl.

L'Amélie has several cafés and restaurants and a night market every Tuesday evening in summer.
